Matthew is a Analytical/Instrumental Chemistry professor at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. During the summers he has the opportunity to raise high quality meats and vegetables. He is the Labor Department.
Rachel is a stay at home mother and wife. She keeps the home fires burning during the long hours Matthew puts in during the school year and helps him out around the farm as needed. She is the Marketing and Sales Department.
Darrell, turning four this summer, keeps us all on our toes as he is busy exploring his world. We look forward to putting all that energy to work some day. He is already a big help inthe store. He hands out brochures and gives change (typically a twenty dollar bill and as many quarters as his hands can hold).
Daughter, Amanda (and husband, Ernie) are expecting their first child soon. Too busy to help on the farm but around often.
Our Philosophy
We believe: it is our privilege to be stewards of the land and that we should leave it in a better state than when we got it.
We believe: our children and our animals should be raised in a healthy mental and physical environment.
We believe: animals should be treated kindly, humanely, ethically and have access to fresh air, clean water, green grass and sunshine.
We believe: a healthy environment and gentle handling grows healthy animals, which reduces disease and the need for medications.
Why do we do this?
For the next generation!

God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (AAT)
