Our pigs are grown with the focus that pigs should be allowed to be pigs. We provide an environment that not only allows but encourages rooting up the worms, grubs, roots and the vegetables that they love. We do not put rings in the noses of our pigs because it would interfere with their rooting! To ensure they get enough nourishment we also provide locally raise grains for them. We never feed our pigs antibiotics because they are so healthy. This healthy environment in turn gives us healthy hogs. That is how you get meat worth eating. Wait until you taste this great flavor! We never cut off the tails of our pigs; since they are not crowded we don't need to. This allows us to help identify when they pigs are happy--their tails are all curled up! Our Mama pigs are never crated. They are free to make nests and take care of their young. They are such good mothers when given the proper environment. We had our first piglets born this last June. What a pleasure it is to see them grow up happy and healthy. | |||||
